What is the Cost?
Attendance is free and open to the public. To avoid long lines, we highly recommend pre-registering through our website. *Please note there are costs associated with attending the Business Champions breakfast and luncheon in the ballroom. Pre-registration for these events is required. Please inquire.

Who is attending?
In 2009, over 4,000 business professionals attended the expo. Over 5,000 are expected in 2010. 60% of attendees were either CEO, CFO, COO, President, Vice President, Partner, Owner, Director or Senior Manager.

What industries attended?
200 industries were represented. Here are some examples: Consulting Services, Advertising and Marketing, Financial Planners and Investment Advisors, Nonprofit Institutions, Information Technology/ Telecommunication Services, Manufacturing Sector, Printing and Office Services, Healthcare, Insurance Agencies, Banks and Credit Unions, Insurance Carriers, Professional Services, Real Estate Brokerage and Management, Technology Sector and Business Coaching & Development


Parking
According to the CT Convention Center website (www.ctconventions.com) the Connecticut Convention Center offer guests more than 2,300 covered, on-site parking spaces in an attached, 8-level parking garage, plus more than 130 spaces for oversized vehicles in our surface parking lot, accessible from Columbus Boulevard. Parking is available 24 hours a day. Self-pay kiosks accepting debit and credit cards are located in the convention center’s main lobby and on the Esplanade Level, near Seattle’s Best Café.

What food and beverage options are available at the show?
Coffee and light breakfast items are available for sale at the Seattle’s Best Café on the Esplanade Level of the Convention Center throughout the day. The CT Convention Center concession stand on the show floor will open at 11:00am. Items available include (but are not limited to): sandwiches, wraps, salads and burgers. We will strive to have healthy options available.

What is the dress code?
Business/ Business casual attire is highly recommended. Don’t forget your business cards.

Is the Convention Center wheel chair accessible?
According to the CT Convention Center website (www.ctconventions.com), the Connecticut Convention Center is wheelchair accessible, including exhibit halls, meeting rooms, and ballrooms. Elevators for the physically challenged are located at street and pre-function levels with ramping available throughout the Center. Bathrooms throughout the Center are wheelchair accessible. The Center’s parking facilities have specifically marked and reserved parking spaces for handicapped persons. If you need additional accommodations, please contact us at least 1 month before the expo.

What attractions are nearby?

According to the CT Convention Center website (www.ctconventions.com), local Hartford attractions include the Capitol, Front Street, Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts, Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art, Old State House, UConn, great restaurants and shopping.

What transportation options are available?
According to the CT Convention Center website (www.ctconventions.com), Downtown Hartford is a very walkable place. From the Union Station train and bus station to the Riverfront is about a 10 minute walk, on average. For greater convenience, the Hartford Star Shuttle bus is a free downtown shuttle that leaves the Connecticut Convention Center at the riverfront every 15 minutes. It takes passengers to all downtown hotels and by most restaurants, Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Saturday from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.

We highly recommend carpooling or taking public transportation.
